FAQ

What’s included in the stock tank pool service?

Each visit includes water testing and chemical balancing, surface skimming, debris removal, pump and filter inspection, and a general checkup of your stock tank pool system. We make sure your pool is clean, safe, and sparkling!

How do I know which service plan is right for me?

If your pool is at an Airbnb or gets frequent use, we strongly recommend our Weekly Service Plan to ensure it stays guest-ready. For regular home use, the Bi-Weekly Plan is perfect.

Can I switch plans later if my needs change?

Absolutely! We know seasons—and schedules—change. You can upgrade or adjust your plan at any time. Just give us a quick call or email, and we’ll make it happen.

Do you only service Ranch Pools stock tank pools?

We specialize in Ranch Pools systems, but if your pool was professionally installed and meets safety and equipment standards, we’re happy to take a look. Just reach out with a few details and photos, and we’ll let you know if it qualifies for our service plans.

What areas do you service?

We currently service homes within 1 hour of Austin. If you are unsure whether you qualify, please reach out via call/text at 512-828-3783!

Do I need to be home during the service?

Nope! As long as we have access to your backyard and pool equipment, you don’t need to be there. We’ll leave a detailed report after every visit so you know exactly what we did.

What if something’s wrong with my pool?

If we notice anything unusual—like a leak, faulty pump, or liner damage—we’ll notify you right away and offer next steps. As your pool experts, we’ve got the tools and know-how to fix most issues quickly.

Are chemicals included in the service plans?

Yes! All necessary basic chemicals like chlorine, pH balancers, and treatments are included in your service plan. Specialty products may carry an additional charge, but we’ll always get your approval first.

What We’re Not Responsible For

While Ranch Pools is committed to keeping your stock tank pool in top condition, there are a few things that fall outside the scope of our service plans:

  • Filters are not provided as part of our service. It is the owner’s responsibility to supply and replace filters as needed for proper circulation and water quality.

  • Airbnb & short-term rental owners: We highly recommend setting clear guest guidelines to help maintain pool health. Specifically, guests should wait at least 2 hours after our service visit before entering the pool to allow chemicals to properly circulate and settle.

  • Structural or equipment damage caused by weather, wear and tear, DIY add-ons or misuse.

  • Leaks or water loss not related to water chemistry or standard maintenance.

  • Malfunctioning equipment (pumps, heaters, filters, etc.)

  • Chemical imbalances caused by guest behavior, external contamination, or unauthorized additions to the pool.

  • Damage from pets, lawn care services, or landscape runoff.

Our job is to keep your water clean, balanced, and safe—but the long-term health of your stock tank pool also depends on responsible usage and regular upkeep by the owner or property manager.
